These are a standard houseparty offering that always seem to go down well. It is an adaptation from from the back of a packet of Reese’s peanut butter chips, but don’t let that put you off — despite being a Hershey’s product it is really rather good. Unfortunately the peanut butter chips need to be hand imported (as pretentious people would say) from the US (unless anyone knows where I can buy them here in the UK? Here’s hoping…). White chocolate chips substitute just fine though.

Ali asked for this a while ago, so here it is — my Grandpa Mel Gibson’s Neverfail Pancakes recipe:

• 1 egg beaten
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp sugar [optional]
• ¼ tsp salt
• 1 ¼ cup milk
• 1 Tbsp oil

Once recipe I am regularly asked to share is for granola, a tasty American breakfast cereal. I’ve eaten some of this most days I’ve lived and I’m not bored of it yet You can get the ingredients in any healthfood store for a good price or else pay a ridiculous price by shopping at Te$co or the like.
